Martensville is a relatively young community compared to other Saskatchewan centres and just celebrated its 40th anniversary of its establishment as a town. The community itself was first incorporated as a municipality in 1966 and received City status in November 2009.
Martensville has been one of Saskatchewan’s fastest growing communities, the population has risen to 7,200 according to the Recent
Planningt for Growth Study (2010, Associated Engineering), up 35% from 5 years ago. School enrolments and building permits have shared
similar positive growth.
